Cinnabons

What you will need:
  • A yummy bread(yeast) dough from your local grocer
  • About 1/4cup butter(or more depending on the thickness you roll your dough etc)
  • 1/2cup dark brown sugar(more or less)
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 Tub of Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup of Icing Sugar(more or less)

Roll out your bread dough till it is relatively thin (about 1/2cm thick).

Spread the butter over dough. Be generous with the amount of butter used. It should cover all the dough and be visible. Not too much so that you have a thick layer.

Then spread over the DARK brown sugar. The sugar should cover all of the butter and dough so that only the sides of the dough are visible and no open white spots remain. Sprinkle over the cinnamon.

Roll up the dough tightly so that it forms a long worm.
Cut into pieces of about 4cm

Place in a pan with sugar sides up. Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm environment- since the dough is yeast it needs to be in a warm environment(not in the oven but maybe the warmer drawer) for the dough to rise.
Heat the oven to 180C and place cinnabons in oven AFTER they have more that doubled in size.
Remember to remove cling wrap
.
Bake for about 10-15mins until golden brown on top.

Make the cream cheese icing while bons are baking. Mix together
one tub of cream cheese and about 1/2 cup icing sugar. You can add more or less icing sugar depending on how sweet you want it. Remember there is lots of sugar in the cinnabons themselves.

Pour over the icing while the bons are still hot.

ENJOY!!!!
