Last night I was listening again to an album that was produced by my church in South Africa, 3Ci. There are a few things in life that are refreshing to the soul and perhaps one of the top things is "truth". So many people tell us what we want to hear because most of us are people-pleasers in nature. We want people to like us. But truth sets free and that freedom brings refreshing. It creates room for change and for growth. We all need truth in our lives but ALWAYS coupled with love and kindness not maliciousness. Another thing that is immensely refreshing and also at the top of the list is new worship songs. Songs filled with truth about who God is and who He says you are. Satan works hard to distort our view of God through negative life experiences and to distort our view of who God says we are. Worship music brings us to a place where we can declare the truths which we may not feel, till it takes root in our hearts and transforms our situation and mind-sets which are distorted.
