There was a time in my life where I thought that praying about everything is perhaps a bit super-spiritual and that sometimes we just have to live life! Although, I believe its still true to a degree and we are not too fret about things, I read a few verses today that make me believe that God wants us to tell Him everything and He wants us to pray about everything and allow Him into every area of our lives: "The Lord directs the steps of the godly, He delights in EVERY detail of their lives" Psalm 37:23 "Commit EVERYTHING you do to the Lord, Trust Him and He will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun." Psalm 37:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in ALL you do, and He will show you which path to take." Today I listened to one of the messages from Bethel Church, called "Hope Happens" and I am reminded how important it is to have hope! And not just have hope for hope's sake but to have hope in the promises of God. When I thought of this and how it applies to my own life, I think of prophetic words but then I thought what if you have never had a prophetic word spoken over you? Does that mean that you have no hope? NO! God's word is FILLED with endless amount of promises for everyone of us, His Children! And we can have such a tremendous amount of hope because there are so many, SO MANY promises for us in His word. This is me with Nurse Thembi. She was my nurse when I was in ICU a year ago and came to visit me in the general ward! You would think a hospital needs to be quiet, but I tell you, the only time it's quiet is maybe between 1am and 4am. Otherwise, it is constantly noisy. One thing that I thought about tonight is this thing of God's universal Kingdom. It amazes me that God can knit the hearts of people together who come from such different parts of the world but because we are all part of another Kingdom and our most treasured "possession" is the same, we are all together sons and heirs. Tonight I said "bye" to Johnny and Connie who serve as deacons to Rivers of Joy and have also become friends of our family. They took us to an amazing Thai restaurant! Thai is some of my favourite food! They have been such a blessing not only to me and my family but to the church. All their children, Isaac, Elizabeth, Eleanor and Ivan have served and blessed Rivers on their short holidays in Bahrain, either through being involved in worship or sound. Hello friends!! So I haven't blogged for a while, and to be honest, I think my love for blogging has had a bit of hit lately - not sure how long I'll keep this up. But Today I am blogging again to tell you of God's faithfulness. God has answered 2 of my prayers in the last 2 days. The 1st prayer, and less urgent one, is that of my ipod touch. A few days ago it died on me. I plugged it into a power source, pressed all the buttons for numerous intervals of time, but to no hope. It did not want to turn on. So a day or 2 later I decided that I will lay hands on my ipod and ask God to heal it. I thought that perhaps the perfume spill of 4 months ago, which had made my screen seem 3D, has finally taken its toll and sucked the life out of my music source! So directly after I prayed for it I tried to turn it on, but, nothing. Then a day or 2 later I thought that since I had asked God to heal it, I must at least put my faith into action and test it every now and again. So I plug...

  After being sad because my friend, Tarryn, has left to SA for 2 weeks, and thinking that everybody is going to be gone for Christmas, I was pleasantly surprised to realise that, not only are there still many who are here but also that we have friends visiting AND I got to make new friends!  The Eltringhams, Mike and Charmaine, who lead the church in Dubai, and their son Warren who leads worship, came to visit us and Rivers, blessing the church with anointed worship and Word. Warren was also so kind to update my iTunes with LoTs of new music especially worship music such as Jesus Culture,among others, which if you know me, is a favourite of mine. Incase you don't know, they have a new album called Come Away ! They are one of those bands whose songs I listen to over and over and over and over and over...you get the point. Took quite a bit of photos the last while and will share a photo diary of  life in Rivers of Joy! Dad, Lisa, Sandeep Lisa got baptised!! How amazing is God! He wants to be known by us and when we seek Him, we will find Him as He reveals Himself!  Me, Estelle, Gary, my dad, Elena, Ramsay and Mom Rams and El visited us and Rivers of Joy for a day, from Dubai. Perfect timing too, as Rams was gonna come alone a week earlier but his visa wasn't going to be ready so we postponed his visit 1 week, which meant that El, his wife, could come as well! Rams led worship at ROJ, blessed the church! Rams also fixed the guitar and put on brand new strings! Thank you!
